I like the hair, but please, if you will, do not use palette colors. And if you shade it, shade the whole thing. This makes it look much better. The only other thing I have to ask is: Is it completely custom? If so, try not making the body look so squished. That's all I can see wrong. Good sprite.

Well, we encourage spriters to get better here, and laughing may be a way to encourage you to get better. Do what I said, and the spite will be much better.

That one looks much nicer, but the head looks a bit too flat, and the hair is unoriginal. Maybe remove the spike in the back.
